I take a broad based holistic and functional approach to my physiotherapy care. Believing in assessing and evaluating all aspects of a problem and establishing a diagnosis and prognosis with a "plan" and can do attitude for going forward and not letting injuries prevent you from doing the things you need to do and love doing. My particular interests are lower limb injuries including hip, knee and ankles, spinal rehabilitation, headaches, dry needling as well as geriatric rehabilitation and falls and balance prevention. Since graduating in 2012 I have undertaken several professional development courses: GEMT, Dry needling course Level 1, Advanced level 2/3 Gerontology, Level 1 and 2 GLAD programme (Good life arthritis Denmark, Hip and knee) as well as attended the Falls Prevention Symposium Sydney 2014, Lyn Watson Shoulder course Level 1. Chris completed his Masters degree at LaTrobe University in 2010 and has taught on the Masters program for 7 years. He has also supervised Masters students and has been involved in the GLOBE trial investigating the effectiveness of exercise in gluteal tendinopathy. Chris works closely with a local neurosurgeon in delivering evidence based, targeted physiotherapy programs for patients pre and post spinal surgery and for patients with nerve related neck and back pain. Prior to graduating as a Physiotherapist, she worked as a Personal Trainer and Remedial/Sports Massage Therapist for 10years within private practice and elite sporting organisations. Miranda is passionate about empowering people to gain the most from their rehabilitation through a combination of hands on therapy, education and exercise.
